Julie’s background in helping business entities meet growing transparency requirements includes working with partnerships, corporations, franchisees, real estate, start-ups, medical groups, legal groups and not-for-profits. Her individual consulting services have included high net-worth clients, such as family limited partnerships, charitable foundations and charitable remainder trusts.
Julie collaborates at all levels of business – from CEOs and CFOs to junior staff members – to gain a clear understanding of an organization’s nuances. She specializes in transforming those unique challenges into valuable recommendations that help clients obtain a more advantageous tax position.
Whether working with international entrepreneurs or established multi-state enterprises, Julie is committed to incorporating both the “big picture” as well as the subtleties of day-to-day systems into her strategies. Her experience with tax planning, budgeting, forecasting and tax compliance helps preserve clients’ long-term value. At the same time, streamlining financial statements as well as sales and payroll tax returns can offer clients of every size unrealized savings and advantages.
Julie recently participated in the CTM webinar, “Living with the New Tax Law – What Is the Impact to Your Bottom Line?” which provided an easy-to-digest explanation of the major provisions of the new tax law. Julie is a member of the Women Entrepreneurs of Illinois, an exclusive networking group designed to foster genuine relationships among women seeking to develop new leads and referral sources. She also is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Illinois CPA Society.
Julie graduated from Indiana University with an accounting degree in 1993, and became CPA-certified in 1996. She went on to earn a Baking and Pastry Certificate from Kendall College in 2004.
Outside the office, Julie loves to put on her baker’s cap and create a variety of sweet indulgences. Ask her about the cookie contest she once won. She and her husband, Todd, live with their two children, Ellie and Hannah in Deerfield, Illinois.
